The Queen of Jordan became a grandmother for the second time and disclosed the name of her granddaughter. Photo

Queen Rania al-Abdullah of Jordan became a grandmother for the second time - her eldest daughter, Princess Iman bint Abdullah, gave birth to a daughter. The newborn was named Amina.

The Queen announced the joyful event on her Instagram page, sharing a photo from the hospital. She also wrote a tender post.

"My dear Iman became a mother. We are grateful and excited to meet Amina, the new blessing of our family. Congratulations to Jamil and Iman - may God bless you and your precious daughter," the Queen congratulated.

So far, details about the little princess are unknown - the royal family has not disclosed her date of birth. At the same time, fans are already congratulating the young family and waiting for Amina's official photos to appear.

Princess Iman, 27, is the second child and eldest daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. She married Greek-born Venezuelan Jamil Alexander Thermiotis in March 2023. The wedding took place in a luxurious palace in Jordan, with the closest members of the royal family and friends of the newlyweds attending the ceremony.

The bride was walked down the aisle by her older brother, Crown Prince Hussein. Iman chose a classic closed wedding dress by Dior with lace details, long sleeves and a luxurious veil. The princess wore a tiara belonging to her mother.

Jamil Termiotis was born in 1994 in Caracas, Venezuela, and is of Greek descent. He works in finance in New York City. He proposed to Iman in the summer of 2022.

The Jordanian royal family has been growing in recent years with new members. In the summer of 2024, Queen Rania became a grandmother for the first time - her son, Crown Prince Hussein, and his wife, Princess Rajwa, gave birth to a daughter named Iman.

Interestingly, according to the tradition of the royal family, children of royalty receive the title of prince or princess, but they have no right to claim the throne unless they are direct heirs.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the Queen of Jordan delighted the network with a new photo with her eldest granddaughter. In the fresh picture, the monarch sat next to her husband, King Abdullah II, holding a little girl in her arms.
