Dukes of Wales photographer talks about shooting Christmas card

Josh Shinner, a photographer from Yorkshire, England, who created this year's Christmas card for the Dukes of Wales, commented on his collaboration with the family. The photo went viral online due to some mishaps with Photoshop.

However, the author of the photo was satisfied with it, even though he had to make some changes to the composition during the shooting. Josh Shinner shared how the photo was supposed to look from the beginning on Instagram.

The photo was supposed to feature a wide chair where 8-year-old Princess Charlotte and her 5-year-old brother Louis would sit. Their parents, along with 10-year-old Prince George, were supposed to stand behind them.

In the end, however, only the couple's daughter was sitting, with her brothers standing on either side of her.

"This year I had the pleasure of photographing the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for their Christmas portrait. Without a doubt, it was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable shoots I've ever done, and thanks to the kids, I now have a whole new set of jokes that are just right for me," the photographer wrote.

In his comments, he responded to the compliments and also said that he would not share the jokes of the little princes and princess. Josh Shinner also emphasized that he could not disclose the details of the shooting and those responsible for the decision to make the shot black and white.

Meanwhile, the photographer's work and idea are being harshly criticized online. Users found the Christmas card to be completely unholiday and devoid of coziness.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children attended the Christmas service "Together for Christmas" at Westminster Abbey. The two older heirs behaved with restraint, while 5-year-old Louis had as much fun as he could, which openly annoyed his mother. Details and photos are in the article.
