Three artists to perform at Trump's inauguration

The second inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States on January 20 will be accompanied by live performances. So far, three stars have been invited to sing during the festivities.

The program will include fireworks at Trump's golf club in Washington, D.C., and a "Make America Great Again" rally. Country singer Carrie Underwood will be among the stars who will perform at the inauguration, The Washington Post reports.

"The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again," said inaugural committee co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler.

Who will perform at Trump's inauguration

Carrie Underwood

The country singer will perform "America the Beautiful" at the event, accompanied by the Armed Forces Choir and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club.

"I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event," Underwood said. "I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future."

Village People

The disco band will perform the hit song Y.M.C.A. This was confirmed by the band member Victor Willis, who performed dressed as a police officer. He is the only surviving founder of Village People. Willis noted that he supported Democrat Kamala Harris during the presidential race. However, he added that music should not be connected to politics.

"We know this wont make some of you happy to hear however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics," he said. "Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost."

Christopher Macchio

The opera singer will perform during the fireworks on January 18. At the inauguration, he will perform the national anthem and the song "O America". And the day after the event, he will perform at the morning prayer at the Washington National Cathedral.

Interestingly, during the election campaign, Macchio has already performed at Trump's events, in particular at a rally in Butler, where the attempted assassination of the Republican took place.
