Danish representative Victoria Kjær has won the Miss Universe 2024 international beauty and talent contest in Mexico. She was crowned by the previous winner from Nicaragua, Shanice Palacios. Victoria Kjær impressed both the audience and the judges with her charisma and beauty.

The 21-year-old contestant became the first to win the most famous beauty pageant in Denmark. Her biggest rival was Nigeria's Chidimma Adetsina, who took second place. The winner's name was announced on the official Instagram of Miss Universe. However, Ukrainian Alina Ponomarenko failed to make it to the top 30.

Before that, the five finalists were asked questions on various topics, including leadership and resilience. Kjær had to reflect on how she would live her life if no one judged her. She told the judges that she would not change anything, saying, "I live day by day." When she was later asked what she would like to say to the audience, she urged them to "keep fighting... no matter where you come from".

"I'm standing here today because I want to make a difference, I want to make history, and that's what I'm doing today," she said.

The top 5 finalists are as follows:

  1. Victoria Kjær - Denmark
  2. Chidimma Adetsina - Nigeria
  3. Maria Fernanda Beltran - Mexico
  4. Suchat Chuangsri - Thailand
  5. Ileana Marquez - Venezuela

At the same time, the representative of Ukraine, Alina Ponomarenko, dropped out of the competition, not making it to the top 30. Two days ago, she stunned the audience with a bikini and national costume. At the first fashion show, Alina Ponomarenko appeared in an image called "The Power of the Earth". The outfit symbolizes the rich Ukrainian land covered with strong armor that protects the country.
