"The myth of a strong man existed only in songs". The famous director explained why Oleh Vynnyk will not be able to whiten his damaged image
Ukrainian singer Oleh Vynnyk remained in the pre-war reality, and his audience gained a different depth and wisdom as a result of the war. This opinion was expressed in an interview with OBOZ.UA by director and producer Oleh Bodnarchuk.
The director is confident that "in the future, these two poles will not be joined." In his opinion, Oleh Vynnyk will no longer be able to have the audience in Ukraine that was favorable to him before the invasion.
Before the full-scale war, singer Oleh Vynnyk was one of the most popular performers in Ukraine. In an interview with the media, Oleksandr Horbenko, the singer's producer, said that for less than $100,000, Vynnyk would not participate in advertising campaigns. The singer had the highest price for performing at New Year's corporate parties - a 45-minute concert cost €50,000. The artist has also gathered a loyal online audience of 2.5 million subscribers.

After the full-scale invasion, Oleh Vynnyk left Ukraine for Germany and dropped out of the public eye. Nothing has been heard from him since. The only interview the artist gave to Ukrainian journalists took place in Berlin.
"I believe that the audience of this artist was very superficially familiar with him," says Bodnarchuk, "His last and, it seems, only interview vividly presented this person to the audience. I realized for myself that he had a great producer, for whom Oleh had no interviews. And the myth of a sensible, kind, generous, gentle and strong man existed only in his songs."
"The myth has been dispelled. Oleh told everything about himself, and he probably believes that it was the apotheosis of sincerity, frankness and beauty of the human soul. However, it became clear that Vynnyk remained in the pre-war reality, and his audience gained a different depth and wisdom as a result of the war. I think that in the future these two poles will no longer be joined," Bodnarchuk added.
