The most scandalous participant of Eurovision 2024 from Israel presented a song at the last moment, which she was forced to change

The participant from Israel presented the competition track Hurricane

This year's Israeli participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Eden Golan, presented her entry song at the last minute. It was called Hurricane.

The announcement of the track was delayed due to the requirements of the European broadcaster, which asked several times to change the lyrics and the song. In previous applications in Europe, they saw a reference to the war between Israel and Hamas. On the last day of the deadline for the single, the Israeli broadcaster released the song.

It received about 300,000 views in 15 hours, but it had no impact on the bookmakers' table. Israel, which used to climb the charts, is now stuck at number 8.

In the video, Eden Golan sings about her trials in a rather emotional and tearful way, but it's hard to tell what exactly the lyrical heroine is suffering from.

"Every day I go crazy.

I'm on this mysterious journey

Dancing in the storm, I have nothing to hide

Take it all and leave the world behind," the contestant sings as she twirls with the dancers who form a five-pointed star.

The singer sings the last lines in Hebrew, as it was announced before the EBU demanded to change the lyrics.

Initially, the Israeli broadcaster flatly refused to please the Eurovision organizers, but later changed its mind and changed the track, and then some of the lyrics. The songs titled October Rain and Dance Forever were rejected.

It is worth noting that many countries are against Israel's participation in this year's contest, but the organizers of the song contest do not see this as a problem and are ready to provide the participant with more security.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the Israeli singer has Ukrainian roots on her mother's side, but has lived in Moscow almost all her life. Eden Golan also performed in the occupied Crimea as a child.
