The makeup artist named the most common mistake when applying blush: it adds age
Based on science and the anatomical structure of the face, the dermatologist advised the girls on how to apply blush correctly. Makeup artist and blogger Erica Taylor followed his advice. She checked how the appearance changes if you apply the products a little higher than usual.
It turns out that if you apply blush incorrectly, you risk looking several years older. The makeup artist shared the secret of successful makeup in her video on TikTok (scroll to the bottom of the page to watch).
"Dr. Charles, who, as a doctor, explains the anatomy of the face, showed that we really should apply blush higher than we think," the blogger said.
After that, the makeup artist demonstrated how to start applying blush and contour. So, first, Erica divided her face with a pencil sculptor up and down, and added two lines from the eyes. The contour on the cheekbones was slightly extended downward to stretch the face and make it look slimmer and more defined.
However, this trick should be avoided on aging skin, as it can make the face look more saggy and tired.
As for the blush, it should start directly at the level of the pupil of the eye, i.e. not too close to the nose, just below the line under the eyes.
Erica said that this technique adds volume and tautness to the face, creating a youthful look. As a rule, she said, blush should be applied where you think the highlighter should be.
If you apply the product higher, you will get the effect of freshness and youth.
Hundreds of girls have already tested the life hack on themselves and shared their results in the comments. "I just tried to follow the advice and apply the blush higher. At first it was unusual, I thought I would look ridiculous. But I saw that I look much better this way," wrote one of the viewers.
Earlier, OBOZREVATEL showed makeup mistakes that should not be made. Makeup can look sloppy and add age.
