The legendary Guns N' Roses began their world tour with a song of dedication to the people of Ukraine. Video
American band Guns N' Roses gave a concert in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on June 3. The rock legends began their performance with a song about the war, dedicated to Ukraine and its people.
This was reported by the Ukrainian community of the UAE. A corresponding video was also published on the Facebook page (to see it, scroll to the end of the news).
"Overnight in Abu Dhabi, the legendary Guns N' Roses kicked off their world tour with a soldier and with a song dedicated to the people of Ukraine. Thank you for your support, legends!" - is said in the post.
In the video from the concert in the capital of Emirates, to which all the tickets were sold out, you can almost not see the members of the American band. At the same time you can see on the huge screen there are images of the war in Ukraine.
Short video clips of burning apartment buildings and destroyed infrastructure were accompanied by the Civil War song. During the concert Ukrainian symbols were present on the stage and in the audience.
It should be noted that this composition was written by Guns N' Roses vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash (Saul Gadson) and bassist Duff McCahan. The track was released back in 1990 and subsequently appeared on several of the band's albums.
During their tours, which took place when there was a full-scale war in Ukraine, Guns N' Roses had already performed Civil War on stage several times, dedicating it specifically to Ukrainians who were fighting the Russian aggression.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in July 2022, the bands The Rolling Stones and Guns N' Roses performed at concerts in London supporting Ukraine. The rock legends took Ukrainian flags on stage and reminded that the world is not tired of war and helping Ukrainians.
