The legend of the American stage sends greetings to "brothers and sisters in Ukraine". Video
The legend of the American stage, world music and movie star Dolly Parton has supported Ukraine. The singer paused during her concert to send greetings to her "brothers and sisters in Ukraine" and called on people to pray for peace for our country.
The singer noted that she has never been involved in politics. But recent events have forced her to express her support for Ukrainians.
"Before we start our entertainment, let's take a serious moment. I don't want to get involved in politics - I'd rather sell a kidney stone than do that. But I want us to send our love and give hope to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine together. Let's hope for them, let's pray for peace in this crazy world," the singer said.

Dolly Rebecca Parton is not just an American singer. She is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actress, writer and entrepreneur. First of all, Ms. Parton is world-famous for her country songs, and her hit Hello, I'm Dolly has been on the charts for decades.
Dolly was born in 1946, the fourth of 12 children in a tobacco farming family. In her own words, the family was "poor as mice," so her early songs almost always have motifs of a poor childhood. Music has played a big role for Dolly since childhood. Her grandfather was a preacher, so Ms. Parton still performs spirituals at concerts.
By the way, Ms. Parton is the goddaughter of singer and actress Miley Cyrus.
Elvis Presley wanted to buy her song I Will Always Love You to make a bluesy cover version. Ms. Parton refused, which allowed her to earn millions of dollars from the song over the years. However, her songs have been covered by many artists.
After winning her first Grammy Award in the late 70s (Ms. Parton has won many), she began hosting several music programs on television. And from there, the way to theater and movies opened up for her. The first attempt was the already mentioned song I Will Always Love You - the singer made a separate version for the movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
In 1992, Whitney Houston recorded I Will Always Love You for the movie The Bodyguard. At that time, Patron herself recorded another song, The Day I Fall In Love (in a duet with James Ingram), for the movie Beethoven. She was nominated for an Oscar as the songwriter, and Parton performed the song at the ceremony.
In 1999, Parton was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In November 2022, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Currently, Ms. Parton continues to work on her new Netflix series (which will tell the story of the Dolly family dating back to the 1600s in the UK), as well as building a new hotel in Nashville, preparing a new Broadway production of Hello, I'm Dolly, working on her own line of Dolly Wines and launching a new cosmetics brand, Dolly Beauty.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with US President Donald Trump at the White House. The talks between the two leaders were held in a rather tense atmosphere, and at some point a dispute broke out between them.
World stars did not stay away from the events in Washington and expressed their support for the Ukrainian guarantor. The celebrities admitted that they saw Zelensky as a leader with courage and a strong character. And some celebrities commented quite harshly on the activities of Trump and his Vice President J.D. Vance.
Ukrainian showbiz figures did not stand aside either.
