The host of the Ukrainian Eurovision Song Contest in the UK came to the prestigious event with a bag made by her 9-year-old daughter

Hannah Waddingham arrives at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with a bag made by her 9-year-old daughter

The famous English actress and singer Hannah Waddingham, who hosted the joint Ukrainian-British Eurovision Song Contest in 2023, walked the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with a special accessory - a handbag made by her nine-year-old daughter Kitty. The video, in which the 49-year-old star talks about the unique cardboard product from the little designer, moved the network to tears.

The footage was shared, in particular, on X (formerly Twitter). Over 5.5 million Internet users watched the video with Waddingham in about a day (at the time of writing).

The actress appeared at the prestigious film award as a nominee for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in the popular TV series Ted Lasso. For the occasion, Waddingham wore a shimmering off-the-shoulder dress. The trendy burgundy shade of the outfit formed a harmonious duet with the celebrity's fair skin and her snow-white hair, styled in noble curls. The look was complemented by a silver ring and bracelet. However, the star of this glamorous outfit was undoubtedly the cardboard handbag from little Kitty.

The accessory had colorful drawings and the word "epic" written across it. The clutch was rectangular with a hole in the top and a white paper handle.

Waddingham proudly displayed her unique bag in front of the paparazzi and colleagues and then explained why she decided to bring it to the ceremony.

"My daughter wanted to contribute, so she made me a bag. She said to me: "You know, mom, you don't need to... you don't need to take it." And I said: "No, it's going to go with me on the red carpet." Imagine, my stylist is like: "Wait, what?" I love how my daughter said: 'Mom, this bag goes with everything and nothing,'" the actress shared.

The audience was also touched by Waddingham's general attitude towards motherhood. She emphasizes that being a mom is a priority for her, and for the past nine years, she has always put Kitty first.

"It's all great, but it's the most important thing," she says of her child.

And in October last year, Waddingham shared in an interview: "I wanted to have a baby when I was ready and not resent the baby for taking me away from my career. I wanted the privilege of motherhood to go hand in hand with my career, not to think, 'Oh, God, you're interfering with me: "God, you're preventing me from doing something..." Because the greatest gift in the world is children, and they are full, beautiful, innocent."

As a reminder, Hannah Waddingham hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, UK, on behalf of Ukraine. The actress was accompanied on stage by the famous Ukrainian singer Yuliia Sanina. The frontwoman of The Hardkiss taught her companion Ukrainian, and Waddingham did a great job.
