The guy from an ordinary family with a unique voice: singer-paramedic Taras Topolia confessed which new artist impressed him

Taras Topolia, the frontman of the Ukrainian band Antytila and a paramedic actively involved in saving lives in the Kharkiv region for six months, mentioned that he generally doesn't keep up with modern show business. However, there is one singer who caught his attention even before the full-scale invasion of Russia - Yaroslav Karpuk.

Now widely recognized by the stage name YAKTAK, Yaroslav has gained popularity, attracting audiences and releasing hits. Taras Topolia discussed this during an interview on the YouTube channel Rozvova.

The singer was initially captivated by a young vocalist possessing a voice rarely found in Ukrainian show business. The leader of Antytila engaged in a lengthy conversation, offering advice and guidance. However, their interaction was interrupted when Taras went to the front line.

"Before the war, the last Black Sea Games were held in Kakhovka, and he won the grand prix there. We had a long conversation about how he should move forward. The most important thing I told him was that he should write his own songs. He has such a beautiful baritone voice. There are no voices like that in our show business. I told him that this is your thing," shared Taras Topolia.

When the entire band went to the front, Taras Topolia stopped keeping track of the young artist's work. However, upon his return, he realized that his time away had not been in vain.

"He has a unique voice, very beautiful, valuable. It flows like oil. We went to war, came back, and he was already selling out halls. He's a great guy. I'm so pleased that the boy has achieved so much with his work. He comes from an ordinary family, without any capital behind him. I want him to remain a human being, not to be overshadowed by fame and money," expressed the artist.

Taras Topolia did not follow other young singers. By the way, on December 1, it became known that YAKTAK became number one in terms of listens on the Spotify music platform in 2023.
