The famous singer confessed how he recorded singer Alyosha, who recently changed her name, in his phone
Singer Vlad Darvin, who has many duets with Olena Topolya, told us how he reacted to her recent decision to abandon her stage name Alyosha. The artist says that for many years he addressed the singer as Alyosha and now he has to get used to calling her something else.
Vlad Darvin told about this in a conversation with OBOZ.UA. The singer also admitted how he recorded his stage partner in his phone.
"We've been singing together for 15 years - and we've known each other for the same amount of time," says Vlad Darvin. - "I now address her as Olena, as she asks me to. Sometimes I want to say Alyosha, because that's what I've been calling her for many years. I now have her name in my phone as Olena Alyosha.
"It will take me a long time to adjust to the new name of our duo: Olena Topolya and Vlad Darvin, because Alyosha and Vlad Darvin sounded more concise, in my opinion. Now, it turns out, rebranding is normal, life does not stand still. And it's good that we continue to create, even under a different name," the singer adds.
Vlad says that Olena has often told him before that she would feel more comfortable if they called her Olena Topolia: "We agreed that the song 'Communion', which we released recently, is the last song we release under the old brand. The next releases will be under the new name."
As a reminder, after returning with her children from the United States, where she found temporary refuge from the war in her husband's relatives' house, singer Alyosha publicly stated that she wanted to continue building her stage career under her real name and the name of her husband Taras Topolya. On her Instagram page, the artist posted a video message in which she said that she often receives advice from fans to take a different pseudonym - not a man's name.
The singer admitted that she often thinks about it herself: "I sit and think about the fact that many of my fans have been writing to me for a long time: "Wouldn't you like to change your pseudonym?". I have been thinking about it for quite some time. Despite the fact that this is a rather difficult process, I decided that I had to do it."
Later, the singer-songwriter published a poster for her new concert with the name Olena Topolia. Olena Kucher received her stage name, Alyosha, from the Satapult music production center, with which she signed a contract in 2008. The singer was 23 years old at the time. With this name, she represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, where she took 10th place.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that at a recent public event, no one recognized Olena Topolya because the singer had lost almost 10 kilograms .
