The Dutch crown prince trolled the "missing" Princess Kate Middleton over the Photoshop scandal

The media said that the ruler of the Netherlands made a joke on the British princess

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands could have trolled British Princess Kate Middleton amid the scandal of her disappearance and the official photoshopped photo. He spoke about the photo editing right in front of his subjects and the paparazzi while talking to schoolchildren.

The 56-year-old monarch met with the public at a royal reception in Zutphen, the Netherlands, on Thursday, where a little girl asked him about his family portrait. Laughing in response, he said, "At least I didn't use Photoshop." The video appeared on X (formerly Twitter).

The media and netizens almost unanimously decided that the king referred to the princess, who had been suffering from a whirlwind of rumors for more than a week because of photoshopped photos.

As a reminder, on January 16, Kate Middleton was hospitalized for abdominal surgery. After nearly two months of absence, Kensington Palace published an official photo of the Duchess with her children for the first time on Mother's Day.

However, attentive users noticed obvious photoshopping in different parts of the frame. This theory was confirmed by Instagram, which labeled the photo as "edited."

Kate Middleton got in touch to explain that she edited the shot herself because she loves to do so. The princess's passion for photography was known before. However, the next photo sowed even more doubt in the minds of fans.

A shot of the allegedly "disappeared" princess and her husband driving in a car appeared online, but surprisingly, the background in the mirror and outside the car was very different.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that against the backdrop of such miscalculations by the royal press service, the subjects began to suspect the worst. Some believe that the princess was beaten, and others are sure that she is still in the hospital. However, the most popular version is that of Duke William's "mistress"
