The Crown Prince of Jordan held a high-profile wedding that was celebrated by the whole country. Photos and videos from the ceremony
The 28-year-old Prince Hussein of Jordan, who is the first pretender to the throne, and his 28-year-old chosen one, Rajwa Al Saif, got married the day before, on June 1. Up to 2,000 guests were invited to the wedding, but the whole country celebrated. The subjects were given two days off to rejoice for the lovers.
The son of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II married the daughter of a Saudi businessman and an architect by profession, thereby cementing relations between the two countries. Hussein is a graduate of the British military academy in Sandhurst, holds the rank of captain in the Jordanian armed forces and can fly a military helicopter. He was in uniform at the wedding.

Only the closest relatives and friends were invited to the modest ceremony, but afterwards, 1700 guests, including members of other royal families, were waiting for the newly-made spouses. The British dukes Kate Middleton and Prince William also flew in to congratulate the couple.

The guests were entertained by dancing, performances, the traditional cutting of the wedding cake, etc. The couple rode in a car in front of their subjects, who greeted them from the stands. All over the country, celebrations were held to entertain people on Hussein's wedding day.
