The actress from A$AP Rocky's video, which was filmed in Kyiv, told previously unknown details of the rapper's arrival in Ukraine: we were taped over with cameras

Ukrainian actress Iryna Demchuk, who took part in the filming of the video for the famous American rapper A$AP Rocky 's song Tailor Swif, has revealed interesting facts about working with the celebrity. According to the girl, the star's identity was kept secret until recently.

She noted that, despite the pretentious image, the performer was quite modest and calm. The actress told the previously unknown details of the rapper's arrival in Kyiv in an exclusive commentary to OBOZ.UA.

"I often applied for various auditions, and one of them was a music video. It didn't say who the performer would be. It said someone from abroad. I didn't know what kind of star it was, at all. We were not told that. I found out about it when A$AP Rocky himself walked into the frame," the girl said.

Iryna Demchuk recalled that before the start of the work process, all the actors had their cameras on their phones taped. According to her, it was forbidden to shoot any elements of the backstage, but the locations had a warm atmosphere.

"It was quite modest and calm, there was no pretentiousness. Perhaps it was manifested in something else, but I think he felt a little awkward because there were so many actors," the Ukrainian said.

She noted that many ordinary people took part in the creation of the video, so at one point it seemed to her that the team was asking residents of the houses near where the filming took place to join in.

"First of all, the video was very surreal and absurd for me, but I love this style. For many people, it reminds them of the USSR or shows Ukraine in a bad light. But I want to say that in general, the artist came to Ukraine not to show Ukraine. This was before the full-scale invasion, when artists came for venues, landscapes, and locations," said Iryna Demchuk.

In late September, rapper A$AP Rocky unexpectedly released a music video for his song Tailor Swif, filmed in 2021 in Kyiv. In general, the video shows a complete absurdity, but the footage of explosions in buildings, missiles in the sky, and collapsing high-rise buildings attracted special attention of Ukrainians, as it strongly resembles modern realities.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that the boyfriend of American singer Rihanna, rapper ASAP Rocky, boasted on social media about the release of jewelry in the form of tanks that form the letter Z.
