The 10 participants of Junior Eurovision 2024 who got a chance to become finalists have been announced

Suspilne has announced the top 10 young artists of the National Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 who will compete for a place in the final. Fifteen children competed with each other in choreographic skills after passing the relevant exam.

The entire process - from rehearsals to the expert panel and the announcement of the results - was followed during the third episode of the Junior Eurovision Diaries music reality show. The names of the "lucky ten" were announced during the broadcast.

Who made it to the top ten:

1. Anastasia Belibova. 13 years old, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region;
2. Angelina Glogus. 12 years old, Ternopil;
3. Maria Blyzniuk. 9 years old, Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region;
4. Anna Doyna. 14 years old, Kyiv;
5. Zlata Ivaniv. 10 years old, from Odesa;
6. Veronika Kogan. 11 years old, Kharkiv region;
7. Ilya Konovchenko (ILKO). 12 years old, originally from Kharkiv;
8. Artem Kotenko. 12 years old, from Okhtyrka, Sumy region;
9. Sofia Nersesyan. 8 years old, from Kyiv;
10. Vsevolod Skryma. 12 years old, Zaporizhzhia region.

"Under the guidance of star choreographer Daniil Demekhin and director and creative producer of the National Selection Yevhen Kot, the children prepared group performances, demonstrating not only vocal but also dance skills. Celebrity mentors TAYANNA, Michelle Andrade and Eugene Khmara closely watched every movement, evaluating not only technical skills but also the ability to convey emotions through dance. Together with them, the music producer of the National Selection Svitlana Tarabarova and songwriter Yevhen Triplov watched the performances," Suspilne reports.

What is known about Junior Eurovision 2024

It is known that according to the rules of the show, 15 participants of the longlist had to take part in a summer "star school" at the Ukrainian Radio Recording House. There, the children can improve their skills in vocals, acting and choreography. As a result of the exams and competitions, only 6 participants will make it to the finals. It is worth noting that these children will be announced during the fourth episode of the reality show this Sunday, September 8.

Once announced, the performances will be prepared by singer Svitlana Tarabarova and producer Yevhen Triplov (both will prepare original songs) and choreographer Yevhen Kot (responsible for stage performances). The final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in September in the same format as the classic Eurovision Song Contest: a televised concert. The grand finalist will be chosen by 3 jury members and the audience.

It is known that this year's international competition will be held in the Spanish capital - Madrid.
