Tanu Muino has shot a horror video for Lady Gaga in the style of the 00s: fans are delighted with the idea. Video.
Ukrainian director and music video maker Tanu Muino has created a horror video in the style of the 00s for the new song "Disease" by American singer Lady Gaga. According to the 38-year-old performer, the main idea of the music video was "the fight against inner demons."
The artist posted the mystical video on her YouTube channel. In a few hours after its release, the project gained almost 1.5 million views, and in the comments, fans of the star's work expressed their admiration for the impressive idea.
In the video for the new track, Lady Gaga appears as her own "inner demons", demonstrating different versions of herself. According to the star, in this way she wanted to reflect that the innermost parts of the human soul, which can sometimes cause fear, shape the personality of each of us, so there is no point in "running away" from them.
"I think a lot about my relationship with my inner demons. It's never been easy for me to come to terms with how I'm tempted by chaos and disorder. It makes me claustrophobic. "Disease" is an encounter with this fear, an encounter with myself and my inner darkness, the realization that sometimes I can't defeat or escape from the parts of myself that scare me. I can try to run away from them, but they still remain a part of me, and I can run and run, but in the end I will meet that part of me again, even if only for a moment. I dance, I transform, I run, I purify myself. Again and again I return to myself. This integration is ultimately beautiful for me because it is mine, and I have learned to cope with it," the singer wrote on her Instagram.
The idea of the horror video was incredibly exciting for Lady Gaga's fans. In the comments to the video, fans shared their positive impressions of the work.
"Mental health is a daily struggle. Thank you to Lady Gaga for not only understanding but also depicting it in her art."
"I love the references to phobias and illnesses she had, like the claustrophobia scene at the end, the purging and so on. She really showed 'My biggest enemy is me' in this video and I love her for that."
"The story in this video is very touching. I felt the struggle, the liberation, the heavy burden of existence and the beauty in the midst of darkness. Lady Gaga is in her element."
