Soviet film star Natalia Fateeva complained that she lost a significant sum of money through Ukraine

Fateeva cannot withdraw money from her Ukrainian card

Soviet actress Natalia Fateeva, who resides in Russia and receives support from the Kremlin, complained about losing money in Ukraine. Since 2011, the actress has been recognized as an honorary resident of Kharkiv, and she received a certain amount of money every month as a result.

However, she did not withdraw this money from her Ukrainian card, and when the need arose, she discovered that the account was blocked. Fateeva shared this situation with propagandists who utilized the artist's predicament to portray the narrative of a "cruel Ukrainian government allegedly robbing an 88-year-old pensioner."

"I received a substantial prize – a certain amount of money for the honorary title, which came to my card every month. I rarely withdrew it because there was a two percent fee for each withdrawal. I cannot specify the exact amount that accumulated on the Ukrainian card over the years, as I don't know. But one thing is certain – it's a very decent sum. I should have withdrawn all the money from the Ukrainian card and transferred it to a regular account. If I had done that, everything would have been fine," the actress stated.

Fateeva planned to use the funds received from the budget of her native, long-suffering Kharkiv in Russia, where she currently resides.

The artist lamented the loss of the monetary reward associated with her honorary title but emphasized that she was living comfortably with financial support from Russia.

As reported by Russian media, in addition to a pension of 35 thousand rubles (14 thousand hryvnias), the artist receives a Moscow allowance for the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR, along with a salary at the theater where she is still employed.
