In a video on TikTok that has been viewed more than 9.8 million times, Carmen and Lupita revealed some of the truths they live with.

"One of us can be awake, and the other one can be asleep," Carmen said, "It's funny because I fall asleep earlier than Lupita, but when [my boyfriend] is visiting, I fall asleep quickly, and he's awake and talking to her.

They also cannot control each other's limbs, but if one of them dies, the other will soon follow. Carmen said: "We share a common bloodstream, so eventually sepsis will set in and obviously in a few hours or days the other one will die."

Some strangers wanted to know how they have sex if they share a reproductive system. Both sisters have endometriosis, and Carmen discovered that she and Lupita could not have children.

She has been dating her boyfriend Daniel for three years, so she realized that he loves only her, not her sister, who is asexual.
