"She's not coming back." Olha Freimut's colleague revealed unexpected details about the TV presenter who fled the war with her husband and children

Slava Solomka about her famous colleagues abroad: "But whether they will be happy there is a question."

TV presenter Slava Solomka believes that his colleague, TV presenter Olha Freimut, who found temporary refuge with her family in the UK during the war, will not return to Ukraine.

In an interview with OBOZ.UA, Solomka told how he feels about the fact that the former chief "auditor general" of the country, Olha Freimut, left Ukraine not only with her children but also with her husband.

"How can I feel about it? People decided to leave," says Solomka. "Do I like it? I don't like it. I think Ukrainians should be in Ukraine now. But she's afraid – that's her right, and to some extent, Olya can be understood. Besides, it's not exclusive that she doesn't see a future in Ukraine. This is also her right. I think she left forever. I think she will never come back. And not only Olia."

"I believe that most of the public people who have left will not return home," Solomka added. But whether they will be happy there is a question. I would not be. In terms of professional realization, I don't see any other country but Ukraine. I didn't even think about leaving Kyiv. When it all started, I saw that everyone was leaving, leaving, leaving. I called my mom: "Would you like me to take you somewhere?" And she said to me: "Are you crazy? I don't want to go anywhere. I was out of breath."

Earlier, Slava Solomka told the press that Olha Freimut went abroad not only with her two children, but also with her husband Volodymyr Lokotko. It happened during a charity event hosted by Dancing with the Stars winner Ilona Hvozdova.

The former CEO of Novy Kanal, who left his post in March 2019, probably still holds Russian citizenship. Lokotko studied at a Moscow university. He is also a graduate of the Ostankino School of Television. Vladimir started his career in Ukraine in 2006. Before that, he worked in Moscow, in particular, at Gazprom Media.

Earlier, the TV journalist said in an interview that in February 2022, to celebrate her 40th birthday, she flew to Provence with only two children, her son Valeriy and daughter Yevdokiya, while her husband stayed in Kyiv. Later, Freimuth said, she moved to London, where she found a job writing a weekly column about Ukraine for the Sunday Express. It is not known how the TV presenter lives now. Freimuth's eldest daughter, Zlata Mitchell, lives and studies in America.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that in July last year, TV presenter Freimut came to Ukraine for the first time after the full-scale invasion. Olha was planning to hold a lecture "Manners during the war. Kindness as a weapon" in Lviv. Many Internet users thought this was inappropriate, especially given that Freimuth was not in war-torn Ukraine.
