She wanted to marry Putin and blamed Ukraine for the war: where is the disgraced Oksana Bairak, who threatened to return to Odesa?

On the occasion of her 60th birthday, disgraced Ukrainian filmmaker Oksana Bairak got in touch and indirectly hinted that she still lives in Russia, where she is friends with Russians and makes films for them. Earlier, the traitor threatened to return to Odesa and called those stars who moved abroad during the full-scale war "rats."

However, she soon left home herself, preferring St. Petersburg, Russia, and her actress friends in Russia. OBOZ.UA decided to remind you how Bairak turned from a pseudo-patriot into an outright traitor and what her colleagues in Ukraine say about her.

Even at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the director claimed that Ukraine was to blame for the war and that Ukrainians should be a "brotherly people" with Russians. She expressed this pro-Russian position in personal messages to actress Natalia Denysenko.

In the public sphere at that time, Bairak said that celebrities who left Ukraine decided to "shed tears" in comfort, and called them "rats." The star herself was still living in Odesa in the summer of 2022.

However, already in 2023, her blog featured a declaration of love for St. Petersburg, where she filmed Russian film projects for bloody rubles while Odesa was being bombed by missiles and drones. In Russia, the filmmaker was working on a new series, Rain at the End of Summer, for a propaganda TV channel.

The main role in the film is played by Anton Batyriov, who previously starred in a Ukrainian TV series and after February 24, 2022, posted the letter "Z" with a St. George's ribbon on the social network VKontakte.

According to stars close to Bairak, she began to show her pro-Russian stance long before the full-scale war. For example, actress Kateryna Tyshkevych recalled that the traitor dreamed of marrying Russian dictator President Vladimir Putin.

"Oksana also surprised me. I was either so blind that I didn't see the level of pro-Russianism she was. There were some jokes: 'I would marry Putin'. I thought she was crazy, that this could not be possible. It's not a secret, she talked about it everywhere," the star said.

In December 2023, Bairak threatened to return to Odesa and Kyiv from Russia, and soon claimed that she had succeeded. She said that she had come home from St. Petersburg without any problems and was reading news about herself on the Black Sea coast.

Judging by the director's new posts, she has returned to Russia. This is indicated by complaints about the exhausting work that the traitor could not get in Odesa because of her pro-Russian position, and congratulations from her friends, whose blogs contain exclusively Russian contact numbers.
