In the summer of 2023, the Internet was literally shaken by the number of new memes and phrases inspired by the movie Barbie. One of the most iconic was the scene when Ryan Gosling, who played Ken, sings the ballad about his character's difficult life, "I'm Just Ken."

The popularity of the song has not passed by the Hollywood film awards, writes Metro. At the Critics Choice Awards ceremony held on January 14 in Los Angeles, "I'm Just Ken" won the Best Song nomination. The entire cast was overjoyed with the news, except for Gosling, whose reaction went viral online.

The 43-year-old Canadian actor was sitting next to his colleagues in confusion when the announcement of "I'm Just Ken's" victory was made on stage. The star just looked around suspiciously, his eyebrows arched.

It is worth noting that Gosling did not accept the award, but the film's co-writers and producers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt did. "Ryan Gosling, this is as much your award as it is ours: you made the audience fall in love with this song with your... performance," Ronson said on stage.

Of course, the actor's atypical reaction became a new viral meme. Fans of the movie quickly shared the video online, calling it the best moment of the Critics Choice Awards 2024. Some of the users admitted that they thought it was a joke, while others wrote that they understood the actor's reaction, but still considered "I'm Just Ken" a real musical hit.
