Residents of a Spanish village accused Meghan Markle of plagiarism and threatened her with legal action

Recently, Meghan Markle launched the website of her lifestyle brand As Ever, which has caused a scandal. The fact is that residents of the Spanish village of Porreres (Mallorca) accused Prince Harry' s wife of plagiarism, as the coat of arms of their village is similar to the logo of her website.

According to Ara Balears, local authorities are currently considering filing a lawsuit against the Duchess of Sussex. According to the mayor of Porreres, Francisco Mora Vena, they plan to ask Meghan Markle to remove the logo.

The Spanish village coat of arms and the website logo share many similar elements, including a palm tree in the center of the image and two birds on either side of the plant. A noticeable difference is that Porreres' symbol uses several bright colors, while Meghan Markle preferred neutral shades.

"We don't want our coat of arms to be distorted because it belongs exclusively to Porreres. The only difference between their logo and our coat of arms is that theirs depicts two hummingbirds, while ours has either swallows or doves - historians cannot agree. We will ask Megan to remove the logo from their website," said Francisca Mora Veni.

The mayor of Porreres noted that the local authorities are currently working with legal services to understand what measures to take. They are even considering a lawsuit against Prince Harry's chosen one. Franziska Mora Veni hopes that this scandal will at least draw attention to their village.

"I don't know if she has visited any agritourism sites or seen the coat of arms, because the photo on her website is from Mallorca. It's surreal, but I hope that many people around the world will learn that there is a village in Mallorca that has this coat of arms," the mayor added.

As a reminder, on February 18, Meghan Markle launched the As Ever website, which was a rebranding of her previous lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. The first photo that the Duchess of Sussex posted on the online resource was a rare photo with her three-year-old daughter Lilibeth. In the photo, you can see the wife of Prince Harry running on the green grass with the heiress, holding her hand.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that Netflix announced Meghan Markle's show, but viewers have already noticed the fraud.
