"Putin loves them": legendary Stephen King critisized Republicans blocking aid to Ukraine
The American writer Stephen King condemned the representatives of the Republican Party after the US Senate failed to pass a procedural vote on emergency aid to Ukraine with their help. The "King of Horror" said which side they were playing.
King wrote about this on December 7 on X. His post was concise and clear.
"Republicans are blocking aid to Ukraine. Putin loves them," the legendary American writer wrote.
Stephen King has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. He closely follows the events in our country and often comments on what is happening.
As a reminder, Stephen King called Russia's actions in Ukraine not a war but a real terrorism. The artist noted that Putin continues to kill children and this is unacceptable in the modern world.
He was also concerned about the fact that on December 6, the US Senate did not vote to provide additional funding for our country. An attempt to pass a bill on military aid to Ukraine, as well as Israel and Taiwan, was blocked by members of the Republican Party.
The bill provided for the allocation of $106 billion, of which $61 billion was intended for Ukraine.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the day before, on December 6, the US Senate did not consider President Joe Biden's request for a joint $106 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. It did not receive enough votes to begin work on its consideration.
