Producer Pianoboy explained why booking some artists will help Ukraine more than their mobilization
Dmytro Shurov, music producer of the National Selection for Eurovision 2024, known as Pianoboy, spoke about the "armor" of service in the Armed Forces in relation to artists. He believes that this makes sense if a singer or other media person brings a lot of benefit to Ukraine, but admits that the issue of mobilization is very complex and ambiguous.
It is impossible to think in terms of categories in such a sensitive issue, because other Ukrainian men are no less important to society and their families. Dmytro Shurov spoke about this in an interview with NV.
The producer explained that there is no correct answer to the question about the "armor" of artists, but shared his thoughts.
"From a purely managerial point of view, only those people who cannot be replaced should receive a reservation. Of course, artists fit this criterion, because they are faces," Shurov said.

According to the producer, Ukraine can benefit from stars who financially and morally support the people.
"In my opinion, an active artist who tours, gives charity concerts, accumulates funds to help those in need, gives people new meanings and emotional support, will bring much more effective benefit to the victory by doing his or her job than in a trench or in the kitchen. First of all, those artists who, in addition to the semantic load, are also a business that pays taxes, have not received a single penny from the state and have built their business and career with their own hands and resources," the Ukrainian said.
Dmytro Shurov sees the point in the fact that the state should not spend resources on singers in the army, but they should become a resource for achieving victory.

"But there is another side, the human side. It is emotionally difficult, because all people are irreplaceable for someone. Every father and son, brother and grandson are the only ones for their loved ones. We are all faced with questions that are difficult to give an indisputable answer to," Pianoboy concluded.
