Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Princess Sofia welcome fourth child
On February 7, the Swedish royal family grew by one more person. The wife of Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, gave birth to her fourth child.
Her Highness brought a girl into this world. The new parents shared the good news on their official Instagram page.
"Today, Friday 7th February at 1.10 p.m., HRH Princess Sofia gave birth to a daughter at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm," the statement reads.
Currently, the couple does not disclose the baby's name and does not share photos of the newborn with the public. However, according to the information posted on the official website of the Swedish royal family, the child weighs 3,645 grams and is 49 centimeters tall. It is also noted that Prince Carl Philip was present in the hospital during the entire process of his wife's labor.
Princess Sofia's pregnancy was first reported on September 2, 2024. At that time, the Swedish royal court issued a statement saying that Her Highness was feeling well and the baby was due in February.
Prince Carl Philip and his fiancée already have three sons: Prince Alexander, 8, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Julian, 3.
