Pregnant Princess Rajwa of Jordan makes a public appearance in her new status for the first time: the stunning red dress was made to order

Rajwa Al Hussein, Princess of Jordan and wife of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, made her first public appearance as an expectant mother. The 30-year-old royal attended the 77th Independence Day of Jordan in the company of her husband, father-in-law, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.

Princess Rajwa wore a bright red dress and a long cape to go with it, custom-made by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi and embroidered by Jordanian craftsmen. As the fashion designer writes on Instagram, she is pleased that she was allowed to create for the royal person.

"As a designer, I feel proud and happy to have created the look of Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein. We have always immersed ourselves in the cool world of heritage and culture through HONAYDA designs, and we are proud of the way our designs reflect the past, present and future," she said.

There are many symbols in the dress. First of all, they relate to the king's reign of 25 years, i.e. the Silver Jubilee. That is why certain elements of embroidery were created with silver threads.

Only the shades of the Jordanian flag were used in the color scheme: white, green, and black. The dress itself was the fourth color of the flag, red. As reported on Princess Rajwa's news page, this tone "symbolizes the Hashemite dynasty, strength and passion to reflect royalty and love of the land."

"The two-piece look incorporates Jordanian heritage through embroidery and traditional patterns created by Jordanian artisans who spent 120 hours decorating the collar and cape border. The design featured intricate cross-stitch motifs and symbolic elements that combined traditional techniques with the brand's signature 3D embroidery. This technique, using silver and silk threads, created a relief, textured effect and required 950 hours of work," the explanation reads.

In particular, to show the beauty of the embroidered dress, the princess gathered her hair in a bun and let the strands fall down near her face. The only accessories she wore were gemstone earrings.

This was Her Highness's first public appearance since it was reported of the princess's pregnancy. It is known that the heir will be born in the summer, but the sex of the baby is still a mystery. It was only on April 10 this year, shortly before the princess's 30th birthday, that the royal family announced the upcoming addition to the family.
