Potap's ex-protégé Michelle Andrade talks about insulting the fugitive producer: he blocked me on social media

For the first time, Ukrainian singer Michelle Andrade has spoken about her quarrel with former producer Potap (real name: Oleksiy Potapenko), who fled Ukraine after the full-scale invasion of Russia. As the singer admitted, during their collaboration with the rapper, they developed a father-daughter relationship. However, after one conversation, the stars finally parted ways.

In the studio of the YouTube show Okay Eva, the artist recalled the situation that took place during her participation in the Heads and Tails project in 2021. "We were creating songs from my personal stories, and then we decided to get together in the studio. But I had a flight and we couldn't connect. I said: "Give me this song, and I'll come up with something on the plane, a melody or cool hooks." It didn't happen. I came to the studio, and he showed me the song. I didn't like it much, I didn't like it at all," Andrade said.

In the end, the singer gathered her will and told the producer that she would not perform the song. "Lyosha, I'm not going to sing it. I don't have the time. This song is not about me. Let's create something cool," the star said at the time.

Michelle explained that she believes she hurt Potap's ego, who had been writing hits for 10 years. "After that, we didn't work together anymore. I continued to be in MOZGI and work with Ira (Horova - Ed.), but he was no longer so involved in my work," the guest added.

Potapenko later blocked his former protégé on social media. The artists greeted each other at one of the music awards, but their communication came to a standstill. Now, Andrade admitted, she doesn't follow her ex-mentor because she can't, being on the rapper's "blacklist." The singer mentions Potap only during interviews and does not hide the fact that after the cessation of communication, she worked through her experience with a psychologist.
