Potap explains why he took off his pants in Moscow after the occupation of Crimea and disgraced himself even more: what's the connection to Lorak and Povaliy

The controversial rapper Potap, who has been living in Spain since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and continues his work in Europe, recalled his scandalous incident in 2014 in Moscow. Then, at a music award in Russia, he took off his pants in the middle of the stage and addressed many Russian artists in front of them.

He thanked the Russians for their warm welcome. This incident took place after Russia occupied Ukrainian Crimea and held an illegal referendum. Potap explained his good-natured gesture in an interview with Yuri Dud.

"2014. We, like all artists, performed in Moscow. But this year we had a world tour, we traveled endlessly with Nastya abroad: in America, Germany, wherever we could. The situation in Crimea has just begun, and the Ukrainian authorities are not commenting on anything, we don't understand what it is, but we understand that something is happening. No one understands," Potapenko justified himself.

According to the rapper, he decided to make a scandalous gesture by addressing the traitors of Ukraine sitting in the audience. Among them were Ani Lorak, Taisia Povaliy, and Lolita. However, for some reason, Potap addressed the Russian people: "Officially, from all Ukrainian artists: Russia, thank you for hosting us."

"We are invited to the RUTV awards, where Ukrainian artists are sitting in the audience who have long ago taken off their pants in front of the Putin regime, and this joke was in their direction. Ani Lorak and Taisia Povaliy were sitting there. I did it for them," Potap admitted.
