Pavlo Gots, a Ukrainian musician and member of the band NAZVA, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2024, he, together with the band, participated in Eurovision 2024 National Selection, and now he has decided to defend his homeland.

The artist announced this on his Instagram page. The performer did not disclose which unit he would serve in, but shared the first photos of him in uniform.

"Removed from military registration. Reason: military service," the musician signed the post briefly.

Pavlo Gots shared a few pictures that show that he is currently in the field. From time to time, his wife Victoria, who is the band's PR manager, visits him.

The Galician-Donbas band NAZVA was founded in 2019 by two artists: Pavlo Gots from Lviv and Yaroslav Yarovenko from Horlivka. They started their career as a musical theater duo, and in 2024 they became Eurovision 2024 National Selection finalists. Then the musicians delighted the audience with the song Slavic English.

And in 2022, NAZVA released the fiery track "Sigele-migele", which took first place in the Ukrainian Shazam a month after its release.

Last summer, the artists published the lyrical track "Chuzhiiu Ya" (I am becoming a stranger), which quickly became popular among Ukrainians, in TikTok in particular. On their accounts, users shared archival footage from their hometowns and villages that were destroyed by the Russians or are under occupation.
