American socialite and model Paris Hilton told why she and her husband Carter Reum chose surrogacy. The family currently has two children: 10-year-old son Phoenix and newborn baby girl London.
The celebrity admitted that it was difficult to make such a decision. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

During the premiere of the second season of her reality show Paris in Love, the 42-year-old socialite spoke about her choice and admitted that she would like to carry babies on her own. However, due to the fact that Hilton is constantly under the camera's sights, the couple decided to turn to surrogacy.
Both of Hilton's babies were born through surrogacy.

"It was definitely a tough decision," she explained at the beginning of the first episode. The star admitted that she "would have loved the experience of carrying a baby in my tummy."

Hilton said she did it to protect the baby's safety and health. Her husband shares the same opinion. "We have a family now with Paris and we want our family to grow," he said. "We have to think about safety. When we go to the market, it's one thing if someone stops and asks Paris to take a picture," Reum continued, "It's quite another thing when we're with the baby in the stroller.
