Model Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late pop star Michael Jackson, has announced her engagement to her bandmate Justin Long. The 26-year-old musician and actress shared the touching news on social media, congratulating her fiancé on his birthday on December 6.

"Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and i couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you," the star wrote on Instagram.

The post was accompanied by pictures, among which one could see the moment of the marriage proposal. Long has been working as a songwriter, producer, engineer, and DJ since 2005. Music has been just a hobby for Justin for a long time until he started receiving offers from major labels. He then worked with labels such as Warner Brothers, Capitol, Island, Hollywood and Glassnote, as well as a number of famous artists, including 5 Seconds of Summer.

He worked with Paris on her live performances

The music producer often posts his work process on Instagram, including performances he has collaborated on with Jackson. In June 2022, he shared a promotional poster for the singer's performance on Jimmy Fallon's show, where he helped the bride-to-be with the sound.

The following year, Long posted a video of himself djing during Paris' performance at Bottlerock, a music festival in Napa Valley, California. Shortly after the show, Justin shared a screenshot of Jackson's music video for Blue Moon, for which he recorded her vocals.

They started as colleagues

Jackson and Long have known each other since at least 2022, when they started working together. In May 2023, the singer tagged him in her own Bottlerock Instagram post on a video of her performing with her band, and in February 2023, she thanked him for helping to bring one of her albums to life. "Grateful to everyone that was involved in making this happen," she wrote. Although it is not known when their relationship turned romantic, Jackson wrote in her December 6 congratulations that they had been together "for years."

Paris was open to marriage in the past

Previously, Jackson dated her bandmate Gabriel Glenn for two years before they broke up in August 2020. The singer told host Willow Smith on the June 2021 episode of Red Table Talk about her "heartbreak." After the painful experience, Paris admitted, she looked at the relationship from a different perspective.

"It's definitely closed me off to that, I'm very careful with who I spend time with now and very guarded and trying to protect myself," she said. However, the star continued, marriage still remains her key focus, as well as children. "I’m not against marriage and if I love someone, sure, but right now my main thing is my spirituality and my music," Jackson said at the time.
