Olena Kravets' eldest daughter turns 22: what she looked like as a child

On February 24, actress Olena Kravets's eldest daughter, Mariia, celebrates her 22nd birthday. This date has two meanings for her at once: a personal holiday and a tragic anniversary that changed the life of the whole country – the beginning of a full-scale war.

Even though this day brings back difficult memories, Mariia decided not only to accept congratulations but also to take an important step in support of Ukraine's defenders. She announced a charity fundraiser on Instagram to help her close friend who is currently fighting for Ukraine's independence.

"Today I am 22. Exactly 3 years ago, on my birthday, a full-scale war began. Exactly 3 years ago, this day is accompanied by the most terrible memories and, at the same time, fills me with the warmest wishes from the best people around me. And for exactly 3 years now, I have been making the same wish – to win. And so today, on my 22nd birthday, I want to make this wish come true as soon as possible with your help," Mariia Kravets wrote.

She announced a fundraiser of 100 thousand hryvnias for the BUAR unit, where her friend is currently stationed, who is engaged in repairing and purchasing vehicles for the army.

Kravets' fans remember Mariia as a little girl. She occasionally posts photos from her childhood on her social media. One of these archival photos appeared a few years ago: an eight-year-old girl posing with her cheeks painted blue and yellow.

"This photo is 8 years old (now it's almost 10). A lot has changed during this time, but the love and faith in these two colors on my childhood face have only gotten stronger with each passing year. Now they have reached their maximum level, not only for me but for citizens of all Ukraine!" she captioned the photo.

In addition to Mariia, Olena Kravets and her husband are raising twins Katia and Ivan, who are now 8 years old. The actress herself has repeatedly admitted that being a mother of three is a challenge but at the same time the greatest happiness in her life.
