Mötley Crüe singer's private jet collided with another jet: details of the plane crash that killed one person

The private jet of Mötley Crüe's lead singer Vince Neil collided with another plane while landing at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, USA. Although the artist was not at the scene of the incident, one person was killed and several others were injured and hospitalized.

Vince Neil's plane "flew off the runway for reasons unknown at the moment, resulting in a collision with another parked plane." The incident was reported on Mötley Crüe's Instagram.

"There were two pilots and two passengers on board Mr. Neil's plane. Mr. Neil was not on the plane. More specific details regarding the collision are not available as the situation is developing rapidly and the investigation is ongoing. Mr. Neil's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this incident, and he is grateful for the critical assistance of all first responders who are assisting today," the statement said.

According to TMZ, Neil's girlfriend Rain and her friend Ashley were on board the plane. As a result of the crash, Raine suffered five broken ribs, but both women survived. There were also two pilots on the plane, one of whom died and the other was taken to the hospital along with the passengers.

The collision was probably caused by the failure of the left landing gear on landing.

Mötley Crüe's spokesman Allen Kovacs confirmed that Vince Neil is safe and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. The band's management is also considering helping the victims of the tragedy.

Due to the plane crash, the runway at Scottsdale Airport was closed "indefinitely". Administration officials said that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have already launched an investigation into the causes of the accident.

Vince Neil, real name Vincent Neil Wharton, was born on February 8, 1961 in Hollywood. He became famous as the frontman of the legendary rock band Mötley Crüe, which was formed in 1981.

The band is known not only for its hits but also for the scandalous lifestyle of its members. Over the years, they have repeatedly gotten into scandals, had problems with alcohol and drugs, as well as with the law. In 2019, the feature film The Dirt about the band's history was released on Netflix.
