"Mockery of the dead Ukrainians will not be forgiven": Iryna Farion's daughter reacts to Kvartal 95's joke about her mother
Sofia Semchyshyn, the daughter of activist Iryna Farion, who was killed on July 19, reacted to a bad joke by Kvartal 95. In it, a Russian-speaking Ukrainian woman is exorcised by "getting rid of everything Katsap from her stupid head" with a portrait of the deceased.
She is convinced that this is a mockery of the memory of a person who made a significant contribution to Ukrainian identity. The woman posted a picture from this episode on Instagram and quoted the words of the soldier Petro Kuzyk.
Iryna Farion's daughter expressed outrage.
"Kvartal 95, you are just animals! You deserve neither respect nor human treatment! Irina Farion was killed for the Ukrainian language, for the Ukrainian position! You will not be forgiven for mocking the dead Ukrainians! I'm waiting for more reactions!" Semchyshyn responded.

However, 1+1 TV channel responded to the outrage and apologized: "Ms. Sofia, we apologize to you and everyone who was offended by the inappropriate joke. The issue that came out on December 29 is one of the older issues. Unfortunately, a mistake was made and a joke that was not supposed to be aired remained in the program. Making jokes about a person who has tragically died is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances, even if it is an old episode. Thorough checks of archival materials will be carried out, and measures will be taken to prevent similar situations."
