Michelle Trachtenberg's friend accidentally revealed the cause of death of the actress of Ukrainian descent
American media personality Amanda de Cadenet, while mourning actress Michelle Trachtenberg, inadvertently hinted at the cause of her sudden death. Michelle Trachtenberg, an American actress of Ukrainian descent, best known for her roles in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, died unexpectedly at the age of 39. Her lifeless body was found by her mother on the morning of February 26 in an apartment in New York City.
The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but PEOPLE's sources said that shortly before her death, she had undergone a liver transplant. This could have caused complications that became fatal. At the same time, the police found no signs of violent death, and the final conclusions will be made by a forensic examination.
Insiders also report that in the year before her death, Trachtenberg was experiencing emotional exhaustion and had significant health problems, although she never spoke about it publicly.
After the news of Trachtenberg's death, her friend, 52-year-old media and photographer Amanda de Cadenet, shared her grief on social media. In the first version of her Instagram post, she wrote: "I won't share the details of our conversations over the past six months. But you knew that death was very likely."
However, after some time, this fragment was deleted. The final version of the post was less specific: "I wish you a peaceful transition, my dear friend, and may your spirit finally rest."
This editing suggested that the media outlet was indeed aware of the seriousness of the actress's condition, but preferred not to talk about it publicly.
Recently, fans of the actress have been paying attention to her appearance. In January 2024, after posting a selfie on Instagram, she received a number of comments about her possible illness. Responding to the comments, Trachtenberg wrote: "Interesting fact. This is my face. No malnutrition, no problems. Why should you hate it?"
