Megan Fox got into a scandal by insulting Ukrainian women, and has already justified her words

Megan Fox offended Ukrainian women

The world-famous American actress and fashion model Megan Fox puzzled her fans with an ambiguous post. In it, the Transformers star spoke disparagingly about Ukrainian women, although after a wave of outrageous comments, she assured that she "didn't mean it at all."

Fox posted a picture on her Instagram that was apparently taken during the Super Bowl afterparty, where she was relaxing in the company of singer Taylor Swift. Reflecting on her appearance in the photo, the actress stated in a contemptuous manner that she allegedly looked like a "Ukrainian blow up doll."

"Oh my God, look how I've changed... I don't look like myself at all. It turns out that it was just a shadowy cell phone photo where I looked like a Ukrainian blow up doll. In fact, I look like one of those super expensive silicone sex dolls that you can only buy in Japan," Megan left an ambiguous message under the photo.

The comments, of course, were full of unpleasantly shocked Internet users. Interestingly, it's not just the Ukrainian subscribers, but also women who are concerned about the issue in general: "I guess xenophobia against Eastern Europeans still exists in Hollywood."

Another user also addressed women from Ukraine: "If you are a Ukrainian woman in these comments, I just want to say that you are not alone. Even if Megan is so proud of looking like an expensive blow-up doll and trying her best to smear people of other nationalities, even if genocide is wiping your people off the face of the planet, I hope you feel a little better knowing that you are not alone."

Meanwhile, one of the Ukrainian women left the following under the celebrity's post: "Hi, girl, I'm Ukrainian. Do you have any idea what I and most Ukrainian women have to put up with in real life and in the media? We are portrayed as cleaners, nannies, thieves, brides for hire, prostitutes. Using such a description is very lazy, irresponsible, and most importantly, it will not resurrect your dead career. Stay plastic, but keep Ukraine and Ukrainians out of your mouth if you are not donating and giving to help us survive this genocide."

Other commenters also wrote: "Disgusting post, considering how many Ukrainian women have been victims of sexual violence lately," "Ukraine is being destroyed in an unprovoked war. Please, let's focus on that. Maybe it's better to raise awareness about it", "The only cheap thing here is your cheap shot at Ukrainians who are just trying to survive the war. Disgusting", "While Meghan was jokingly typing the word "Ukrainian" in her caption, the Russian military has already made sexual violence the norm in the occupied regions of Ukraine. Women, children and the elderly will be sexually abused in the occupied regions of Ukraine by Russian soldiers. But Megan keeps laughing." "I'm trying really hard to understand why calling blow up dolls Ukrainian is funny, but I can't. I'm sorry. What's the joke? What's so funny?"

Responding to one of the hundreds of such comments, Megan Fox tried to convince her fans, including Ukrainian women, that she did not mean to offend anyone, but was only trying to make a joke.

"Oh, my God. That's... I didn't mean that. Ukrainian women are hot, so in my imagination, blow up dolls would be hot too. Let the girl make a joke, for God's sake," the actress said.

Interestingly, even after her excuses, Megan did not change the text of the post, although there is such an option on Instagram. One of the users drew attention to this, writing: "It's not too late to remove the word 'Ukrainian'.
