Andrei Makarevich, the leader of the Russian band Mashina Vremeni, who has been opposing Putin's regime since 2014, has outraged Russians again. This time, he accidentally revealed his intentions to perform in Kyiv after Ukraine's victory in the war. Because of this, he may now be arrested in Russia for at least two years.

According to the Russian media, the star will be tested for "extremism" because of the fake conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whom the pranksters impersonated.

Russian bloggers have repeatedly called media outlets, pretending to be Volodymyr Zelenskyy and asking insidious questions. This time, Andrey Makarevych was the victim.

According to the propagandists, in the conversation he admitted that he was "counting the days" until Ukraine's victory, could help the Armed Forces, and wanted to come to Ukraine after Russia's defeat. The Russians, who had previously known about the artist's stance, began to call for his punishment again.

"A criminal case and two years in prison is what the founder of the Mashina Vremeni band Andrey Makarevich is facing for violating the foreign agent law," the media announced, citing police sources.

The case was launched after the aforementioned fake conversation with Zelenskyy. According to the Russian law enforcement agencies, Makarevich is also planned to be checked for extremism.

It is noteworthy that the musician has not lived in Russia for a long time. He emigrated to Israel and travels frequently. He does not return to Russia as he was recognized as a "foreign agent" there. Nevertheless, he still marks his posts with a humiliating inscription according to the foreign agent law.
