Love is... chewing gum was a hit in the 90s, but few people know that the story of its creation dates back to the 1960s. The love story of Kim Grove and Roberto Casali was accompanied by cute almost daily sketches in which the woman drew the couple and wrote love messages.
According to marketer Mykola Moyseyuk on Instagram, she made caricatures on a paper napkin and made miniatures of family life. The most interesting thing about this tradition was that Casali could find these messages in unexpected places: under her pillow, in her jacket pocket, in the glove compartment of her car, at work, etc.
The official website of Love is... states that the first such drawing by Kim Grove was a little girl miniature of Graw herself, depicted on a postcard that she sent to her lover during a ski trip.

"Roberto loved her work so much that he started producing her drawings. At first, Kim's comics appeared in newspapers, then on souvenirs, but they became world famous for the famous chewing gum called Love is...," Moyseyuk explained.
The couple had two children together, and then their lives were turned upside down because Roberto Casali got cancer. In 1975, he lost the fight against the disease. Roberto was only 31 years old.
