The representative of Sweden at Eurovision 2023, Loreen won the 67th song contest at night from 13 to 14 May in Liverpool. At the press conference after the grand finale, the singer talked to reporters about various topics, in particular about the war in Ukraine.
To be precise, the Swedish singer did not make any specific statements about the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, on behalf of which the Eurovision Song Contest was held in the UK. However, she spoke warmly about our country and showed her solidarity. "Ukrinform," writes about it.
Thus, many Ukrainian spectators noticed that Loreen said nothing in support of Ukraine, when the Ukrainian rap collective Kalush Orchestra, the winners of last year, handed her a crystal microphone. "I've been to Ukraine a lot, I've had a lot of shows there, I love its people. And it pains me to see what's happening now, I'm very sorry," commented the winner of Eurovision 2023.
At the press conference, Loreen also couldn't help but be asked about her victory in 2012. Journalists were interested in how the feeling of triumph had changed in 11 years.
"In 2012, everything was new to me. I was a very naive girl, I didn't know what to expect," the Swedish vocalist answered.
