When asked if he had ever thought about ending his career, Lear replied, "Not for a second!"

He was more concerned with living in the moment and focusing on finding something to do so that he didn't waste a single second of life, even at such an advanced age. "When I go to bed in the evening, I have something I think about. Among other things, it's about what I'm going to do tomorrow... Today is over, and we move on to the next day," Lear explained in his interview.
