Khrystyna Soloviy explained her "run-in" with Masha Yefrosynina because of the Russian language and put haters in their place
Singer Khrystyna Soloviy has responded to the accusations of haters regarding her high-profile interview with TV host Masha Yefrosynina. On camera, the artist said that the blood of Ukrainians is on the hands of her interviewer and other stars who "built bridges" between cultures.
This categorical statement caused outrage among both the TV presenter and Russian-speaking Ukrainians. The performer took to social media to call for "critical thinking" and to listen to her words. The video was posted on her Instagram.
Khrystyna Soloviy addressed her Russian-speaking audience directly.
"Dear friends and foes, fans and haters, speaking Russian is your legal right, which is also protected by the Constitution of Ukraine. In this interview, I'm talking exclusively about media people who continued to create the "Russian world" in Ukraine after 2014 with their creativity and their work," the singer emphasized.
In the comments, she was supported and praised for her directness, courage, and clarity of thought.
"Great interview. That's character, that's strength," "There are a lot of bots created to protect the Russian language," "I support you! The interview was revealing," "Clear, concise, and to the point," "I fully support your point of view," wrote Khrystyna Soloviy's followers.
Shortly before this interview, Masha Yefrosynina commented on it, urging viewers "not to make a fuss" and explaining why the fragment with the quarrel was not cut.
As a reminder, during the conversation with the host, Khrystyna Soloviy criticized her for using Russian in the media. In response, the interviewer, barely able to contain her anger, called the star an "outsider" because she refused to sing in Russian many years ago.
