Kate Middleton, a cancer patient, was photographed for the first time in a long time: how the princess looks after chemotherapy
For the first time in 2024, British Princess Kate Middleton was caught on camera while performing her royal duties. Her Highness, after announcing in early September that she had completed chemotherapy to treat cancer, appeared at her public job.
The Princess met with cancer patient photographer Liz Gatton in Windsor. She was accompanied by Prince William. Photos from the event were posted on the Welsh family's social media.
"It was a pleasure to meet Liz today in Windsor. She is a talented young photographer whose creativity and strength inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us," said William and Kate.
Liz, 16, was accompanied by her family members. Hello! magazine reports that the girl was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in January. Liz Gatton was invited to the meeting allegedly after Prince William learned about her story through the London Air Ambulance Charity.
One of the published photos captured the moment of Kate Middleton's warm embrace with the teenager. The princess wore a burgundy fitted two-piece suit and beige long johns underneath. Her makeup was cherry-colored and on the verge of casual and evening style.
"Such wonderful, sincere and kind people, I'm over the moon that my family and I had this experience," is how Liz Gatton reacted to her short trip to Windsor.
As a reminder, Kate Middleton almost completely disappeared from public space after Christmas. The palace reported that the princess was to undergo abdominal surgery and would therefore be suspended from work until Easter. Later, in March, she announced in a video that she was to undergo preventive cancer treatment, but did not name the specific type of treatment.
Since then, the Princess of Wales has not appeared in public, which worried royal fans and provoked rumors about her health and well-being. Already in June, she reported that she hoped to partially return to her duties outside the home during the summer.
Then she appeared at Trooping the Color in honor of King Charles III's birthday, and a month later she attended the men's Wimbledon 2024 final, specifically to hand over the award to the winner.
Gradually, Her Highness "joined" the public space, posting family photos on social media. And in September, Kate Middleton happily announced that she had completed chemotherapy. At the time, she said that her course had ended with a positive result. Although she was still far from a full recovery from cancer, the Duchess was ready to return to her royal duties.
