Käärijä almost fell down, Serdiutchka lost her shoe, and an Armenian made the audience laugh with a song about "farts": embarrassments of Eurovision 2023
Preparations for each Eurovision Song Contest take almost a year so that millions of viewers around the world can enjoy a large-scale and luxurious show, where more than three dozen contestants compete for first place. But despite the rehearsals and careful preparation, this year was not without embarrassment.
Guests and participants of the show distinguished themselves. OBOZREVATEL decided to tell about the funny embarrassments that made viewers laugh (to see photos and videos, scroll to the end of the page).
Käärijä nearly crashed into the set
The participant from Finland Käärijä, who took the 2nd place at Eurovision 2023, almost fell down at the beginning of the performance. According to the plan, the artist ran around a large wooden box, which was secured by stretched ropes.
The singer almost hit one of them, but reacted in time. Judging by the comments on the network, at that moment many viewers took their breath away.
Serdyuchka "gave" a shoe to the audience
The invited guest from Ukraine was the main favorite of Euro-fans Verka Serdyuchka. She sang a fragment of the legendary hit Lasha Tumbai with her stage mom and show-ballet, but the costume let the star down.
While Serdyuchka was waving her arms and legs, one shoe flew off and flew far into the audience.
An Armenian woman was made fun of because of a song about "farts"
Vocalist Brunette from Armenia, who sings solo and in three groups, performed a lyrical ballad with a rap song called Future Lover, but unexpectedly made the audience laugh.
One Reddit user wrote, "For some reason, when I first heard Future Lover, I thought Brunette was saying 'Fart in my face' instead of 'Fire in my veins".
Earlier OBOZREVATEL wrote about the place of Ukraine at Eurovision 2023 and the winning song of Loreen, which is accused of plagiarism.
