Johnny Depp effectively supported Ukraine in front of thousands of fans after Russian fakes and paid special attention to refugees from Mariupol
Despite Russian fakes about his visit to the terrorist country, American actor and lead singer of the Hollywood Vampires Johnny Depp continues to support Ukraine. In July, he met with Ukrainian artist Iryna Fedorenko and effectively expressed his pro-Ukrainian position at a concert in Stuttgart, Germany.
This is the second time that the native of Mariupol, who was forced to flee Ukraine, has met a celebrity. They took a photo together, talked about her homeland and Russian fakes, Bild writes (to see the photo, scroll to the bottom of the page).
The artist who impressed the star with his portrait had the opportunity to talk to Johnny Depp for the second time. Their first meeting took place on 27 June at a concert in Hamburg, and the artist paid her attention for the second time a few weeks later.
Iryna Fedorenko has been painting the famous actor for 20 years. "I was at a concert and a meeting. He was happy to see me," the artist said.
They talked about Ukraine and the reaction to Russian fakes. Iryna Fedorenko moved to Munich from her native Mariupol with her 15-year-old son and 67-year-old mother in March 2022.
"Before the concert, we talked about Ukraine, and during the show, our flag appeared on the stage," the Depp fan said.
It should be noted that this is not the first time Hollywood Vampires have supported Ukraine. There are numerous videos on the web of the band performing the song Heroes while footage of the war in Ukraine changes behind them, followed by a blue and yellow flag.
In July of this year, the Russian Federation announced that Depp would come to record a joint track with a local band and travel around Russian cities. For this, he was allegedly promised $370,000. Later, Russian media boasted that at the cinema screening of the film with Depp, the actor addressed them from the screens and wished them to "take care of themselves".
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Johnny Depp's director and assistant Steven Deuters denied the clumsy Russian media reports and commented on the scandal with an address to the Russian public.
