The American billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife, journalist Lauren Sanchez, have treated themselves to a new purchase – an $80 million (almost 3.3 billion hryvnia) jet. However, when you are worth $194.9 billion, a private jet is a drop in the bucket.

The couple purchased the plane in early 2024, HELLO writes. The Gulfstream G700 model is known for its impressive speed capabilities – it accelerates to over a thousand kilometers per hour, which is 92.5% closer to the speed of sound.

Inside the aircraft, there are five separate living areas – the master bedroom, as well as a dining room with a high-end kitchen, bathrooms, a living room with leather seating, and a crew area. The aircraft can accommodate 13 passengers, eight of whom can sleep, and the luxurious leather seats convert to ergonomic beds.

Jeff, one of the richest men in the world, reportedly also owns two previous G700 models, a Gulfstream G650 and a Pilatus PC-24. Representatives of the former Amazon boss insist that he uses environmentally friendly jet fuel for his travels and pays for carbon credits that fund projects that reduce greenhouse gas pollution, and claim that they offset the carbon emissions caused by private travel.

The couple also has a large collection of real estate around the world, which includes a $68 million mansion in Florida, a New York apartment overlooking Madison Square Park, and a ranch in Texas.
