"It's stupid!" Olya Polyakova admits why she doesn't wear luxury brands and why she wasted 96 thousand euros
Singer Olya Polyakova has admitted that she does not "chase" luxury brands to always be in trend. However, she does have an expensive item in her closet that she calls a fool's errand.
It was a fur coat made of natural fur from the Italian brand Valentino. At one time, the artist paid 96 thousand euros for this outerwear, which is equivalent to 4 million hryvnias. However, now the singer is upset that she bought the coat, so she wants to sell it and donate the money to the Armed Forces. This decision was made in an interview with What Are You Kyiv.
"This is a Valentino fur coat. (It cost 96 thousand euros," Olya Polyakova admitted and shared her feelings when she wore this fur: " It's stupid. Because you realize that you're wearing an apartment! And it doesn't even warm you up. It's made of sheared mink, very thin."
The singer wore this fur coat on the red carpet of the Teletvizdar award in 2011 when French movie star Alain Delon was visiting Ukraine.
"I was pregnant with Alice. I remember that I was very cold because it was minus outside. This fur coat was very beautiful, but it didn't keep me warm. And I got sick after that, so I just realized that money doesn't keep you warm," she added.
But now Olya Polyakova would not mind selling this item from her wardrobe and donating the proceeds to the army. However, she does not believe that anyone is ready to buy a fur coat for the price of real estate.
She also recalled that she used to "chase" brands, but now she feels "100 percent" in ordinary clothes. As the celebrity notes, "a million dollars should be in the account, not on her."
