"It looks suspicious enough": the deaths of actor Hackman and his wife will be investigated

The deaths of the famous American actor Gene Hackman and his wife, the equally famous pianist Betsy Arakawa, will be investigated. The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office said that there are several suspicious aspects to the circumstances of this tragedy, which look quite ordinary.

According to the British broadcaster BBC, this was even indicated in the search warrant. In particular, it stated that the circumstances of the couple's death were "suspicious enough to warrant a thorough search and investigation."

As you know, Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman died at the age of 95. He was found in his home in Santa Fe with his dead 63-year-old wife. The couple's dog was also found dead there.

Heckman's body was found in a side room near the kitchen of the house. Arakawa's body was in the bathroom. The couple's dead shepherd was actually in a closet near the bathroom. The couple kept three dogs, but the other two sheepdogs were alive and were found outside the house.

The cause of death of the couple has not yet been determined. Santa Fe sheriff, Mr. Adan Mendoza, said that the man and woman "appear to have been dead for quite some time," but refused to even speculate on when. He assured that the investigation would be transparent.

The chief detective from the sheriff's office added that the couple's bodies showed "all signs of decomposition and 'mummification. This also indicates that a long time had passed since their deaths.
