The comedian Olena Kravets periodically refused to perform her roles in Kvartal 95's comedy concerts. She carefully selected certain sketches and did not always agree to the characters offered. This happened with the roles of prostitutes.

Maks Vyshynskyi, the Studio's scriptwriter at the time, told about this in an interview with Alina Dorotiuk. According to him, Kravets rejected the numbers that dealt with this topic, even though they were relevant and had a comedic overtone.

As an example, Vyshynskyi cited a sketch in which a prostitute during the COVID-19 pandemic complied with all quarantine restrictions – she greeted with her elbow, wore a mask, etc.

"I remember that Olena Kravets refused to play a prostitute. Very often we would bring performances about prostitutes in different situations... For example, COVID-19: a man called a prostitute, and she was there greeting him with her elbow, wearing a mask... It was relevant and funny at the time. It was really funny, but Olena Kravets refused to play this performance. I understand her, because almost every concert she was given something like this. She probably took it as a kind of insult: "How many times? I'm so versatile!" I understand her perfectly well, and the fact that she is multifaceted. She proved it more than once," the screenwriter recalled.

He also admitted that at the time he was offended by Kravets because the payment system in Kvartal 95 provided for remuneration only for performances that were performed on stage. The actress's refusal was a financial blow to the young screenwriter, as he planned to spend the fee on a vacation with his girlfriend abroad. By the way, he revealed that he received an average of $500 per performance.

"I was still offended by her in absentia. It was my number, and we had a payment system back then that meant that if it didn't make it to the stage, you didn't get paid. I was 26-27 years old, and I wanted to fly to Cyprus with my girlfriend. I wanted that money!" Maks Vyshynskyi added.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Maks Vyshynskyi disclosed whether jokes about President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are censored. According to him, the humorous numbers concerning the government have indeed become less sharp, but this is due to the outbreak of a full-scale war, not any instructions from the head of state.
