On the Russian Wikipedia page, they even managed to add the date of the sovereign's death - March 18, 2024. However, they quickly corrected their mistake.

In addition, X (formerly Twitter) began to post photos of flags allegedly at half-mast over Buckingham Palace, which could symbolize mourning. The pictures turned out to be old.

Interestingly, a similar situation has already happened with Elizabeth II, when the Russian media launched a "fake news" about her death.

As you know, Elizabeth II's son came to the throne less than a year ago. His coronation took place on May 6, 2023.

In recent months, Charles III has been treated for cancer. The monarch was diagnosed with the disease in January 2024.
